My Portfolio of Work

While learning in  my computer fundamentals class, my teacher made our class sign up  for Digiteen (My Digiteen). Each of us were assigned to a group on Digiteen where we were told to work on a project with kids our age that we didn't know. I was assigned to the group Safety-Individual Awareness. After finishing the project I was required to write a blog post and tell how I felt about the project. I really did love the project because I enjoy working with other people, especially when I am working on a project that can save internet users lives. I learned not only for others but for myself, how to stay safe when on the internet through the work I did on Digiteen.

My favorite things to do for work are the things I love, which is why my favorite portfolio work is my freshman 20% project. For my project I partnered up with my friend Lexie. We decided to work on something that we enjoy to do and talk about so we chose the topic of fitness. We started  Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. We came up with the name healthguide16 and immediately jumped into our accounts trying to gain followers, at first with no success. Eventually we caught on to the idea of how to gain followers, and, we continued to write enough blogs where we could put three up every day. Even though we aren't finished with the project I can honestly say that it has taught me so much. I have learned how to use Tumblr, which was a completely new site to me, and most importantly I have learned how to work hard for my goals and continue to work till I reach them, like I had to do to gain followers. I love my 20% project and am so excited about how far it has come already.
